Camera: Exakta VX
Cameo-ed on: Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window
The lead character on this film, James Stewart, is a magazine photographer, confined to his wheelchair, who uses his camera and its long wide-angle/telephoto lens to spy on his neighbors through his apartment window.
Notice that on the film, the camera’s brand name was deliberately covered in black tape but by the looks of it, it is undeniably an Exakta VX. Here’s an ad from 1954 which commercializes the use of the mentioned camera in Rear Window.
